The Buggles buggered up their longevity as a band, though they'll certainly be remembered for one thing.

Leeds Guide: Comedy review - An Evening with Dara O Briain
After working hard to get local work experience with the excellent Leeds Guide, I was handed a pair of free tickets to watch Dara O Briain at the Grand Theatre in Leeds. Needless to say, it was an excellent routine.

Sound Screen: Spotify Sunday - Die Mensch-Machine
My love of Kraftwerk knows no bounds, so this one was an easy one to work on, mostly from my own knowledge backed up with research, taking me about two hours. It's probably my strongest (or at least most comprehensive) Spotify playlist to date, so here's hoping you like it.

Sound Screen: Stop Me If You've Heard These Ones Before - Sly & the Family Stone
After much deliberation and a huge hit to my internet connection that sapped me of Spotify, I decided instead to work on another Stop Me If... feature instead of a playlist, which I'll continue with from next week.
So here, in all their glory, are Sly & the Family Stone.

In my first-ever film review, I visited the Leeds International Film Festival to see A Town Called Panic at the Hyde Park Picture House. Was it worth the trip?

Sound Screen: One Hit Wonderland - Average White Band
Funk from Scotland is perhaps a surprise choice for One Hit Wonderland this week, though you'll probably not be too surprised at the reasons for its coverage - after all, it's one of the best songs in its genre.
