As of February 2012, I've decided to stop updating this formally as a portfolio. Thanks for stopping by and reading what I've posted; I decided it was best for me to move on from this and focus on more creative work, instead of documenting simple in-the-job writing.

inthenews.co.uk: Music review - Silver Poetry EP (Digitonal)

In another music review for inthenews.co.uk, I tackle Digitonal's Silver Poetry, a four-track EP released this month. It provides both a great song and a surprising score, given my usual tastes in music.

the fuck up here, really, is the label promoting it as an EP when it's not. it's a single with remixes.

personally, I loved the mixes and strongly felt that a good remix should take the original idea and push it into a different world, which is what both Tim and Ed did. Basically, it's probably a bit of a fuckup all in all to even release it, cause, critically, it seems to have damaged all the good press that the album got.

I don't think i'm necessarily trying to be a band for the film industry though - I've been doing this a while now and I've always been firmly in the electronica camp.

Still, thanks for (at the very least) a well written and fair review...more than most of them were :o)

Thanks for the feedback Andy - it's not often I get anything like this. I can competely see what you mean though - it's a good insight into the music industry though and given what I said about Silver Poetry as a song, I'm glad you were able to clarify why the others seemed different.

Glad I could be of some service anyway!
